Winter Cricket Academy

The Cricket Pad Winter Cricket Academy at Bolton School is designed to give young cricketers structured, high-quality coaching throughout the winter, helping them develop their game and prepare for the season ahead.

Sessions will cover all three key areas of the game — batting, bowling and fielding — with players working on technical skills as well as the decision-making and game awareness needed to become better all-round cricketers.

Batters will work on technique, shot selection and building confidence at the crease. Bowling sessions will focus on developing technique, control, consistency and effective game plans, while fielding will include catching, movement, throwing and improving overall athleticism in the field.

The academy will be delivered by an experienced coaching team of Adnan Ghaus, Mick Fletcher, David Fairbrother and Nigel Heaton, allowing players to benefit from different areas of coaching expertise.

There will be 18 places available in each age group, ensuring sessions remain structured and players receive plenty of individual coaching and practice time.
